MintSolo is now open for Beta Testing!
We’re excited to announce that we have opened up MintSolo for acceptance of beta testers. If you want to join our beta test program, follow the instructions below to help us establish MintSolo as the best Bitcoin Solo Mining platform available today!
What is Bitcoin Solo Mining
Bitcoin’s algorithm specifies for a block to be found every ~10 minutes. The algorithm uses a defined difficulty that is adjusted every 2 weeks to ensure that as mining machines become more powerful and the number of miners grows, Bitcoin blocks will continue to be produced every 10 minutes. With the advent of ASIC (Application-Specific Integrated Circuits) and the commercialization of Bitcoin mining, the difficulty has climbed to over 110 trillion.
There is a movement today within the Bitcoin community for smaller distributed mining by individuals. This mining provides for the possibility that a single miner, using inexpensive mining equipment, has the chance of finding a Bitcoin block. Once found, the individual finding the block reaps all of the block rewards for that block. Today, that reward is in excess of $300,000!
The term Bitcoin Lottery has been used to describe this mining movement.
Solo Mining for Bitcoin is like buying a lottery ticket that gives you a chance at hitting it big every 10 minutes.
What is MintSolo
In short, MintSolo is a Bitcoin solo mining pool. However, we prefer not to call it a mining pool because of the inference that miners are pooling their mining resources together in an attempt to find a Bitcoin Block. Instead, we describe MintSolo as a mining platform designed specifically for Bitcoin Solo Miners.
The MintSolo platform runs several Bitcoin Nodes, a custom Bitcoin Mining Stratum environment, and a Bitcoin Miner Statistics website. Our platform has been fine-tuned to provide solo miners with a network that enhances their probability of finding a Bitcoin Block and thus hitting the Lottery!
We’ve been working on the MintSolo platform since the beginning of 2025. At this time, we want to open it up for Beta Testing to a limited number of testers.
Joining the Beta Test
If you are reading this article, the beta test is open for you to join. Just follow the steps below to start mining on our platform. The only requirement is that you already have a Bitcoin miner that you can use to connect to our platform. We also ask all of our beta testers to provide us with feedback on their experiences, good or bad. Join our Beta Tester support server on Discord!
Getting Started
Step 1
The 1st step is to connect your miner to our platform and start mining.
Below, we show you an image with an example of configuring the Bitaxe Gamma 601 for mining on our platform.
Stratum Host – set this setting to miner.mintsolo.com (do not include stratum+tcp:// or port here)
Stratum Port – set this to 3333
Stratum User – enter your Bitcoin Wallet Address and append an optional Worker Name in the format .worker_name
Note – A worker name is optional, but our platform allows segmenting your miners by their worker_name if one is provided. In the image example, we appended the worker_name “.Bitaxe”.
Stratum Password – Our platform does not require this value, so you can use anything you want for this.
In the Bitaxe Gamma configuration, you can configure a fallback mining configuration. We highly recommend setting this to a secondary mining pool in case you experience network issues connecting to your primary mining location.
Once your miner is configured, check it and ensure you are connected and your miner is working.
Step 2
In this step, you will connect your web browser to our Miner Stats website, which will allow you to monitor your miner’s performance.
Open a web browser and use this URL to gain access to the Beta Tester Performance site: https://beta.mintsolo.com
Click the Start Mining button, you will need to create an account and verify your email address. Once you’ve created your account, go into the Settings section and ensure you add your Bitcoin Address.
Once completed, allow ~5 minutes for your Miners to display on the Miner-Stats page. If after 10 minutes, you don’t see stats for your miners, double-check the Bitcoin Address you supplied on the settings page and ensure it is the same address you used in Step 1 above.
Step 3
Your miner should now be configured, and you should be connected and mining on MintSolo’s platform.
The MintSolo Dashboard has been developed to be device-responsive, hence it can be used on your computer or any mobile device. Our dashboard will allow you to monitor the performance of your mining on Mintsolo 24 hours per day / 7 days per week.
We hope you enjoy your experience using MintSolo, and provide us with feedback on our Discord Server.
Summary
In this article, we have announced our beta testing and expect to run the beta test over the next 3 weeks. Once the beta test period is complete, we will make additional announcements relating to the upcoming features we will introduce for the MintSolo platform.
